Photographic Skills

External flash	x		Tend to use this when using auto settings, as flash will pop up automatically, I also used it if it was too dark to take a picture.
Self timer facility	x		Used this on my own camera if I myself needed to be in the picture.
Light meter	x		When taking production pictures for product to get the right setting
Composition grids	x		I used this when practicing the rule of thirds method in pictures.

Filters	X		I applied some filters such as gaussian blur onto some layers for my final product
Brushes	X		I downloaded brushes to use in the vampire tutorials and the christmas card tutorial
Layers	X		I used layers in most of the tutorials and again in my final product, as I had to manipulate a lot of items.
Opacity control	X		Some items needed to be more opaque so I put them into separate layers and used the opacity control.
Shape creation	X		I used this when making splash boxes or buttons for my magazine covers

Have you ever used In design ever before?	X		used to put together my final product, and in a few tutorials to get basic knowledge of how to use it.
Margin and column guide creation	X		used for guidelines when making my product
Inserting an image ID	X		both in tutorials and when making my product.
Resizing images in ID	X		used in final product
Text manipulation – resizing, rotation	X		I only did this when making my final product, as I rotated the kicker, and also resized the text in the article.
Text manipulation – controlling kerning and leading	X
Text flow creation	x		used to make the text flow from column to column when creating my article and also when using an article from the internet for a tutorial.
Using transparent imagery in ID	X		I did this in tutorial with an image of Loki and then did the same concept in my final product by placing a transparent image of one of my models on the page.
Shape/line creation In design	X		For effect, I created some polaroid pictures and also some lines around the edges of my article, I also placed boxes around some of the text.
Exporting to PDF from In-design	X		I did this when saving my final product.
Text Wrap	x		I did this in my article to create a break out box, making the rest of the text go around the area for the box.
Other Skills Drop cap Polaroid images Gradient background	x		I created a gradient background for my article in my product, used a drop cap at the beginning of my article in both my product and the tutorial, and then used shapes to create polaroid images, rotating them and overlapping them to make them look more scattered.
